Hit American TV series Ice Road Truckers premiered in and ended in , with a whopping episodes aired during its ten-year run. Incredibly, the show had an average of three million viewers per episode, becoming the network's most-watched show in its twelve-year history.

There were rumors that the production team wanted to capitalize on the unexpected success of the show by producing a feature film, but sadly, these plans never came to fruition. The show wasn't just a hit in the US but also featured on British network Channel Five and other broadcasting stations around the world. Although 27 fiercely brave truckers were featured throughout the decade, we take a look at the show's most-featured truckers, including Alex Debogorski and Hugh Rowland, and see what they're up to almost four years later.

Canadian trucker Alex Debogorski is the only cast member to have appeared in all eleven seasons of the show. He's a self-proclaimed family man with 11 children and 13 grandchildren and has been married for 39 years. Notably, when the TV series debuted, year-old Alex had already been driving for 26 years. So, what is Alex Deborgorski doing now? Art Burke: Takes a gamble he was warned against. He was headed up to Garden Hill and Kohaykewych made it perfectly clear Burke was to take the longer northern route, which was open and in better shape than the southern route.

That appeared to hit and bounce off as Burke encountered a tanker driver who had just come from the southern route and said it seemed fine. With the lights of Garden Hill in sight, Burke has to negotiate a slippery 15 percent grade.

He fails on his first try, and backed onto the ice for a second run, which is successful. Running throughout the pressurized hour-long episode were two themes: Two previous seasons shortened by mild weather left a backlog of loads to get delivered to the remote First Nations villages the ice roads are built to serve. And, a bit unfairly, how will Lisa Kelly ever get by without her business partner Darrell Ward.

But, Custance got the trailer out and headed home. No need to guess what Burke did. Jumping from her truck as it breaks through ice. It was a staged event. Sure, it happens occasionally but this one was part of the show. One way or other, the show paid for that truck.

A girl that pretty needs to be down south anyway. You know, boys like Dem Daisy Dukes!!!! I started driving trucks in I did it over 20 years OTR and about 16 years hauling steel locally. So Lisa, you need to be proud of yourself. But remember, I was among the pioneers in women in trucking. How great that wouldve been! I think that all woman truckers are brilliant and do just as good job as men if not better keep on trucking. You must never have driven a semi. Or actually for not getting g where they thought you should be.
